The SpeechLive workflow system is hosted in 2 locations: For Europe and countries outside of North America SpeechLive is hosted in a Microsoft data center in central Europe. For North America SpeechLive is hosted in a Microsoft data center in the USA. Account management is hosted in a data center in Austria.
During file transfer to and from SpeechLive we use the secure HTTPS protocol. While in the cloud storage, all data files are encrypted with 256 bit AES encryption.
Yes, you can use additional encryption on top of the SpeechLive encryption to secure your dictations. To encrypt completed dictation jobs, you can use SpeechExec encryption methods. To encrypt your dictation during recording, you can use the 265 bit DSS Pro encryption on your voice recorder or with SpeechExec Pro Dictate software.
Important: Encrypted dictations cannot be played back with the browser based SpeechLive player. To work with encrypted dictations, you need to install Philips SpeechExec Pro software on your computer and connect it to your SpeechLive account.
The data centres are designed to run 24/7 and they employ various measures to protect operations from power failure, physical intrusion and network outages. The data centres comply with industry standards for physical security and reliability and are managed, monitored and administered by Microsofts operations personnel.

The SpeechLive system monitors the status of all systems. In case of a system failure, the administrators will be informed via email. In addition, users can see the system status in the support area of the SpeechLive portal.

None of your personal financial information (such as credit card information) will be shared with other parties unless this is needed to handle your order, process our invoice or combat fraud. If you decide to cancel your subscription, you can use SpeechLive until the payment period ends. Your account administrator will get notification emails 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the account is suspended. After this time you can still access your dictations for one month until your account expires. After this period, your account, including all dictations and user data, will be deleted from the system.

The advertised monthly price does not require an annual commitment for a small business package and an advanced business package. For these two business packages the costs are charged on a quarterly basis, so that customers are flexible in scaling the SpeechLive system according to their requirements. The advanced business package plus is bound to a two years commitment, but costs are charged on a quarterly basis.
When you remove a user account, all active dictations can be handed over to another user in the system. If you cancel your subscription completely, you can still access your dictation for another month to download a backup to a local network. After that period, all dictations as well as all account information are automatically deleted.
You can configure up to 10 users where you can define which typist should be connected to which author. You can also use the professional online transcription player with foot control operation. Additionally, you can download and use SpeechExec Pro Dictate and SpeechExec Pro Transcribe software with trial licenses for all of your users.
Yes - at any time during the trial period you can provide your payment data and purchase a SpeechLive subscription. If you are using SpeechExec on your PC with a trial license, please purchase the full version with the appropriate number of licenses from our online store.
To add users, simply log in to your SpeechLive account for administrators, visit the online store and purchase the desired number of additional user accounts. As soon as you have completed this step, you can add the users in the "workflow" menu of the SpeechLive portal and send them an invitation email for activation.
The SpeechLive Small Business Package is limited to 10 users. To add another user, please upgrade to the Advanced Business Package. This will provide you with the option to add more users and additional workflow configuration capabilities.
The workflow will continue to work until the end of your last payment period. After that, your subscription will be suspended and you can no longer upload dictations in the SpeechLive portal. However, you can still access your dictations for download and backup for one month after the SpeechLive account has been suspended.
In SpeechLive, typists can only see dictations from authors whom they are assigned to. As the system uses separate folders, authors are not able to see dictations from other authors.
The SpeechLive service is designed as a dictation workflow system. However, we do allow for every dictation to have an additional file attached to the dictation (e.g. a supporting image).
An advantage of the SpeechLive system is that users can select where they want to save their dictations. Dictations can be sent to an external typist who has a connection to the SpeechLive folder and confidential dictations can be configured to always stay in your local network environment.
No - if the internet connection is offline you can still dictate to your SpeechExec application. Once the internet connection is re-established, SpeechExec will automatically synchronise your dictations with SpeechLive.
Yes - with SpeechExec you can choose for each dictation individually whether it should be sent to the local server or to the SpeechLive online storage. In the general settings in SpeechExec, you can specify the behaviour of the application.
Go to: General Settings > Dictation > Dictation Finished and specify the 'Dictation Finished' behaviour.
SpeechLive maintains deleted dictations for 30 days. Please contact your account administrator. They can provide you with a copy of the deleted dictation.
Switching from an Advanced Business Package to a Small Business Package is not possible. If you want to do so, please terminate the account for the Advanced Business Package and create a new account for a Small Business Package.
SpeechLive administrators can change the visibility of finished dictations in the 'Workflow > Settings > Archive Settings' menu. SpeechExec users can configure the visibility of finished dictations in the SpeechLive settings on the SpeechExec toolbar.
To change the user password, the administrator can send you a password request via email. Please be aware that you also have to change your SpeechLive password in all client applications to be able to access your SpeechLive folders.
Offices for English and French transcription services are located all over the world, in buildings with state of the art security. Depending on your location we strive to transcribe your dictation in the same country as it was generated. German transcription jobs are purely transcribed in Germany. Our service does not forward transcription jobs to homeworkers and also does not use Speech Recognition software.
Once the account administrator has brought credits for the SpeechLive Transcription Service in the SpeechLive online shop, the service is automatically enabled. All users in your workflow will be able to send dictations to the transcription service.
Yes - SpeechLive supports transcriptions of multi-speaker dictations (e.g. interviews or meetings). The account administrator just needs to purchase sufficient transcription service credits in the online shop and enable multi-speaker dictations in the account settings. All users in your workflow will be able to send dictations with multiple speakers to the transcription service.
During the 24 month binding period it is not possible to reduce the number of initially purchased users. After that period you can reduce the number of users at any time.
No - encrypted dictations cannot be played back with the browser based SpeechLive player. To work with encrypted dictations, you need to install Philips SpeechExec Pro software on your computer and connect it to your SpeechLive account.

No liquid should be used for cleaning the device housing elements. For fingerprint smudges, dust and lint - wipe the screen gently using a dry and clean micro fibre cloth.

Yes, since the settings are stored on the SpeechOne/SpeechMike Premium Air they are automatically applied to any computer to which the SpeechOne/SpeechMike Premium Air is connected via the AirBridge.
A Quick Start Guide on how to pair your SpeechMike Premium Air/SpeechOne with a Philips AirBridge will be available in the AirBridge product package, as well as on the SpeechOne/SpeechMike Premium Air support pages respectively.
If a constant orange light is displayed, the AirBridge is paired with a SpeechMike Premium Air/SpeechOne device but there is no USB data connection available on the computer. This may happen if the computer is in standby/sleep mode.
In short, Nuance Dragon software enables you to control almost any aspect of your computer operation via voice; including (but not limited to) composing and sending emails, dictating directly into your word processing applications, conducting web searches, updating electronic records (i.e. Dragon Medical integrates with EPRs) and can also be used as part of your existing dictation/transcription workflow for automatic transcription of your voice recordings.
You can use Dragon to transcribe speech-to-text with up to 99% accuracy out of the box (without any prior voice profile training). Furthermore, Dragon requires you to create a user profile that stores data on your voice and vocabulary so it can continue to train itself on any adaptations you make. Dragon will become more accurate the more you use it!
Dragon is relatively simple to download and install. As long as you follow the on screen instructions and install Dragon correctly, operation should be intuitive and user friendly from the get-go. However, we receive a large number of requests from our customers to integrate Dragon into their existing dictation/transcription workflow. This can often prove to be a more difficult set up process; if you do not feel confident configuring your software packages yourself we strongly recommend that you get in touch with one of our Voice Technicians who are able to offer additional support when it comes to this.

You can use your PC's built in microphone when using Dragon for front end Speech Recognition. However, we strongly recommend the use of a dedicated/professional microphone or dictation device/microphone to take full advantage of Dragon's capabilities. The fact is that Dragon will work more accurately with a higher quality audio input. Our range of dictation devices and desktop microphones are all Nuance Approved, with 6 stars for Dragon Speech Recognition (the highest award offered by the manufacturer).
These instructions are for the 15.4 service pack (existing customers). You do not need to uninstall your current version of dragon before installing the new one. The installation process will install the new version automatically.

Obtain the 15.4 service pack from the Nuance Network Portal
Close any open programs
If you are running any anti-virus programs, turn them off until the installation is complete
Double click the DPG15DOT4VLA.exe file to run the installer
Select your language when prompted, then click 'OK'
Click 'Update' when the update wizard opens
When the installation/update is finished - click 'Finish'

1. Close any open programs.
2. Do one of the following: - Insert the DVD and the installation should start automatically.
